Her frightened look is completely authentic. And it was not due to the fact that I had just met her an hour before getting her somewhere relatively secluded. Jessica seemed to think it was hot when I joked about decapitating her and doing horrible things to her body. Anyways, she survived and lived to tell the tale of the harsh conditions at the Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Area. Afterwards, we went to Costco for a hot dog.

The major one, which almost totaled the car, was due to my driving half asleep. I learned the hard way that it does not pay to drive tired, especially at 90 MPH. Anyways, Dee Dee also loves animals. She was a little concerned with taking these photos at a pet store that she frequents. Just the same, we were in and out and nobody knew the better. We went for a hike and both agreed that our situation did not suck. The land was parched due to the drought here in California, but we also had no job or class to report to on this day. Guess you just gotta appreciate the positive in life and not dwell on the negative. For instance, most of us can celebrate the fact that we were not choked to death by a cop this week.
