At this stage in their careers nobody thought they_d make it to the finals. But they did, and they brought some serious thunder down under Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal turned back the clock in Melbourne for a thrilling five-set finish Somehow, the 35-year old Federer managed to outlast his 30-year old rival. Things got strange on match point. Federer_s forehand was ruled out, but he was quick to challenge the call. Federer won his record 18th major championship, becoming the fourth oldest Grand Slam winner EVER Here_s hoping it isn_t the last chapter in their classic rivalry. Now time for some football highlights That_s IF you can call the NFL Pro Bowl football. Okay, so it doesn_t have the greatest reputation with fans, but this year_s game was surprisingly competitive The NFL said aloha to Hawaii and moved this year_s all-star game to Orlando. A sold out crowd of more than 60-thousand cheered on the pros. Since nobody wants to hit or get hurt, the Pro Bowl normally has scores you_d only see in a game of Madden. This year was different though. With just over a minute left, the AFC was winning 20 to 13, but the NFC had the ball and was driving down the field. That_s when THIS happened. A crazy finish to an entertaining game. All in all it was the best Pro Bowl in ages Still, the Super Bowl can_t come soon enoughAmen to that Now let_s switch things up to hockey. The NHL had it_s all-star festivities this weekend too.And I heard they came up with an interesting idea to keep the players motivated: cold hard cashYep, a million dollars was up for grabs The stars came out to play in LA at the 2017 NHL All-Star Game The 3-on-3 tournament came down to the Metropolitan Division against the Pacific Division. Coach Wayne Gretzky must have given the Metro team a great pep talk at intermission, because they came out firing on all cylinders in the second period Cam Atkinson and Wayne Simmonds scored goals just five seconds apart to give them a 4-3 win and a big check for a million bucks It was QUITE the finish at the PGA Farmers Insurance Open Jon Rahm earned his first tour win by closing his final round in style He went for the green in two on the par-5, 18, landing at the top of the green. That left him a 60-foot putt, which he calmly drained for an eagle The amazing putt helped the young Spaniard win the tournament by 3 strokes. Rahm is only 22 and definitely has a bright future ahead of himOkay we_ve got one last story to get to, and it_s about the fight EVERYONE wants to see The Conor McGregor-Floyd Mayweather superfight might actually happen This weekend, Conor held a pay-per-view interview in Manchester where he said the fight with Floyd has been in the works for awhile now... and could take place before the end of the year Hours later, Mayweather responded by saying HE thought there was a good chance the fight would happen because it_s what the fans want.
